DING Aijun, Ph.D., professor, is Assistant President of Nanjing University, and Dean of Nanjing-Helsinki Institute in Atmospheric and Earth System Sciences, Nanjing University (NJU Nanjing-Helsinki Institute) His main research interests include air pollution meteorology and the interaction between atmospheric physics and atmospheric chemistry. He has successfully presided over national key research and development programs, integrated research of major fund programs and other national major projects and was funded by the National Outstanding Youth Fund and the Excellent Youth Fund. He has published more than 230 academic papers in such important international journals as Science and Nature Geoscience. He is a member of the 8th Academic Evaluation Group of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, and has successively served as a member of the Scientific Instructive Committee of international scientific programs such as iLEAPS, TOAR, MAP-AQ, etc., a member of the Scientific Advisory Group (SAG) of the Reactive Gases Working Group of the Global Atmospheric Observation Program of the World Meteorological Organization, an associate editor of ES&T Air of the American Chemical Society, and editorial board member of many domestic and foreign journals. He has been selected as an ESI Global Highly Cited Scientist (since 2020) and has won the ICTP Award (2015) and the Xplorer Award (2022) of the International Center for Theoretical Physics.
