LU Xiancai is Vice President of Nanjing University, and professor and doctoral supervisor at School of Earth Science and Engineeringgineering and Engineering, Nanjing University. He is mainly engaged in mineralogy and geological microbiology research. At present, his main research interests include microbial-mineral interaction, calculation and simulation of mineral physical chemistry and physical chemistry of reservoir minerals. He has successively completed more than 10 national and provincial scientific research projects and was supported by the Outstanding Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2014. He has won the second prize of national teaching and achievement twice and the natural science prize of the Ministry of Education once.
