Recently, the book Foundation of Digital Economy was published by Higher Education Press. The book is written by Professor Hong Yinxing, a prominent economist and Distuighed University Professor of NJU, and Professor Ren Baoping from the School of Digital Economics and Management at NJU, and contributed by faculty from the School of Digital Economics and Management of NJUSuzhou Campus and Jiangsu Institute of Digital Economy. The book consists of 15 chapters, totaling 390,000 words, focusing on the theoretical system of fundamental issues in the digital economy, and emphasizes the basic theories, practices, and governance of digital economy research.
The book is divided into three parts: the basic elements of the digital economy, the construction of practical scenarios in the digital economy, and the standardization and governance of the digital economy. It has answered questions about digital economics like "What are the basic elements of the digital economy? What are the basic practical scenarios? How can the standardization and governance of the digital economy be achieved?“
The main features of Foundation of Digital Economy primarily include four aspects. First is its emphasis on the foundational aspects of digital economy. The book applies basic economic theories and methods to interpret the fundamental theories, models, and paradigms of the digital economy. Second is its highlights of cutting-edge aspects of digital economy. The book integrates Chinese socialist political economy to study the digital economy and absorb international cutting-edge knowledge. Third is its emphasis on practical aspects of digital economy. The book integrates digital economy theory with application scenarios and real economy. Fourth is its emphasis of guiding aspects on digital economy. The book proposes the developing paths for China's digital economy and combines standardization and governance to guide the healthy development of the digital economy.
