Recently, the English edition of China’s Monetary Policy: Targets and Transition, was published by Routledge. Author of the original Chinese edition, Professor Fan Conglai is from Yangtze River Delta Economic and Social Development Research Center, Nanjing University.
The Chinese version of this book was first published by Nanjing University Press and was selected for the list of the 2021 "Chinese Academic Translation Projects" by The National Social Science Fund of China.
The book consists of 12 chapters and offers a comprehensive analysis of China's monetary policy, covering inflation mechanisms, the impact of an open economy, and adjustments to policy objectives. Based on a summary of 40 years of monetary policy practice in China, the book examines the price stability and financial stability objectives of monetary policy. It distills China's experience in monetary policy and constructs a theoretical framework tailored to the domestic economic characteristics, providing insights for the global community.
The English edition was edited by Zhao Jinchun, researcher of the Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Social Sciences. The English edition received academic guidance from Professor Anthony Gerard McGrew of the University of Southampton and Professor Lu Maozu of the University of Oxford.
