On June 14, Ir. Alkin Kwong, President of the Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association (HKPASEA), led a delegation to visit Nanjing University. Tan Tieniu, the Secretary of the CPC NJU committee and Academician of the CAS, met he delegation. The meeting was chaired by Ding Aijun, Assistant Presidents of Nanjing University.
Tan Tieniu extended a warm welcome to the delegation and expressed heartfelt gratitude for HKPASEA's support for Nanjing University. He acknowledged that since its establishment, HKPASEA has been committed to contributing to Hong Kong's development and has played a significant role in fostering exchanges between Hong Kong and the mainland. Nanjing University and Hong Kong have a long history of collaboration, continuously deepening practical cooperation in various fields and achieving numerous outcomes. Tan expressed hope that this visit would be a new starting point for HKPASEA and Nanjing University to enhance cooperation.
Ir. Alkin Kwong acknowledged that Nanjing University is a prestigious institution with a long history, dedicated to nurturing talent in various fields. He stated that the visit provided the delegation an opportunity to learn about the latest developments at Nanjing University and in Jiangsu Province. He also hoped that this visit would serve as a catalyst for HKPASEA and Nanjing University to strengthen the exchange and explore new avenues for cooperation.
Ding Aijun provided an overview of Nanjing University's history, academic development, scientific research, talent cultivation, and international collaboration.
Samuel Yung, Founding President of HKPASEA, introduced the association's efforts in promoting professional exchanges between Hong Kong and the mainland.
Herman Hu Shao-ming, Former President of HKPASEA, introduced the "HKPASEA Youth Dream Pursuit Program," which aims to help young people to develop their potential.
Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, academic exchanges, engineering construction, and educational development.
During their visit, the delegation also held discussions with NJU students about career development and opportunities in Hong Kong.
