On March 24, 2024, Tan Tieniu, Secretary of the CPC NJU Committee and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited the School of Advanced Technology (SAT) on NJU Suzhou Campus. He visited NanZee Sensing Collaborative Platform, Demonstration Base for Graduate Research Centers of Jiangsu Province, Fiber Optic Sensing Trial Room, Collaborative Platform of Eco-agriculture Sensing, Technology and Engineering Center of Rapid Environmental Monitoring as well as the Teaching Base of Graduate School of NJU Suzhou Campus in the School.
During the listening session, Tan engaged in depth discussions with representatives of faculty and students. He endorsed SAT's accomplishments and its dedication to exploring innovative pathways of integrating industry, academia, and research. He emphasized the accumulated experience in this endeavor was invaluable and should be promoted to other institutions. Tan also underscored the significance of advancing the innovative integration of scientific research and industry, particularly amidst the accelerating development of new quality productive forces.
Shi Bin, Dean of SAT, reported on the school's history, platform construction, talent cultivation, and contributions to local development. Attendees also engaged in exchanges and discussions regarding the primary challenges currently faced and future development.
