On January 6, 2025 New Year's Colloquium was held on Gulou campus. Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tan Zhemin, President of NJU and Academician of CAS gathered with Academicians, University Distingushied Professors in Humanities and Social Sciences, Honorary Distinguished Professors, retired leaders, and representatives of the faculty to review the past year and plan for a new chapter together.
Tan expressed his heartfelt thanks to the participants for their important contributions to NJU's development and extended his New Year greetings to them. He was deeply moved and inspired by their advice and insights with regard to NJU's future development. He wished that they would continue to give full play to their respective advantages in teaching and research, management services, and convergence of resources, and contribute more to the development of the university. He emphasized that the university will implement their suggestions and recommendations, to enhance the sense of achievements of teachers, students and staff.
Tan Zhemin summarized the main work and the development results of NJU in 2024. He said that these achievements were dependent upon the strong leadership of the University CPC Council and the hard work of all teachers and students, as well as the guidance and supports from retired leaders and experts. He hope that they would continue to support NJU by giving valuable advice, and working together to build a better university.
Participants expressed that the hard-earned achievements of the university in the past year were heartening, and they were full of confidence in the future development of NJU. The colloquium was chaired by Chen Yunsong, Vice-Chair of NJU CPC Council. University leaders Jiao Ruihua, Zheng Hairong, Wang Zhenlin, Lu Xiancai, Suo Wenbin, Zhou Zhihua, Li Bin and representatives from related departments participated in the colloquium.
