On the afternoon of November 29, Tan Tieniu, Chair of the University CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), led NJU Delegation to Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional, BRIN (National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia). They were warmly welcomed by Edy Giri Rachman Putra, Vice Chairman of the Social Sciences and Humanities Department of BRIN. Rachman introduced BRIN's distinctive advantages in scientific research and its latest achievements in international cooperation, expressing interest in collaborating with NJU in areas such as artificial intelligence, energy resources, and geography and ocean science. Tan Tieniu emphasized that NJU attaches great importance to international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and sees great potential for cooperation with BRIN. Tan hoped that both sides could strengthen communication and jointly cultivate talents with international visions and innovative abilities, thus contributing to the scientific and educational innovation for both countries.

On the morning of November 30, Tan Tieniu and NJU Delegation met with NJU's Distinguished Alumni, Dr. Mochtar Riady, Founder and Chairman of the Lippo Goup. Tan expressed his gratitude to Mochtar Riady for his long-lasting support for NJU, and introduced NJU's latest achievements in discipline development, new campus construction, and international cooperation. He also stated that NJU highly values its exchanges and cooperation with Indonesia in the fields of education, science and technology, and humanities, with the hope of deepening friendly communication and practical collaboration with various sectors in Indonesia to contribute to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Mochtar Riady fondly recalled his schooldays and shared his entrepreneurial experience as well as thoughts on current issues such as artificial intelligence, medical technology, and socio-economic development, expressing his expectations of enhancing exchanges and cooperation between the Lippo Goup and NJU in educational and medical institutions. The Delegation also visited Lippo Group's Siloam Hospitals Lippo Village, Pelita Harapan University and other institutions.
