Tan Tieniu visits Vietnamese educational departments and universities

On November 25, Tan Tieniu, Chair of the University CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a delegation to the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), where he met with Pham Quang Hung, Director of the International Cooperation Bureau of MOET, and Ly Hoang Tung, Chief of the International Cooperation Department of MOST.

Tan Tieniu pointed out that 2025 will mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, as well as the China-Vietnam People-to-People Exchange Year, NJU will strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese universities and research institutions to jointly contribute the implementation of the the Belt and Road Initiative in the education sector.

Tan Tieniu visited the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology

NJU delegation visited Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the first and largest-scale science and technology university in Vietnam. Huynh Quyet Thang, President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, warmly welcomed the delegation. He hoped that the bilateral cooperation can promote scientific and technological innovation and economic development. Tan and Thang signed the Memorandum of Understanding, which aims to strengthen cooperation in artificial intelligence and other important areas.

In the afternoon, Tan visited the Jonathan KS Choi Culture Center, an important institution for Chinese teaching, international education, and cultural exchange in Vietnam. Le Thu La, Chief Representative of the Center, expressed a warm welcome to the delegation. She introduced the history of the center and hoped to strengthen cooperation with NJU. Tan expressed his appreciation for the center's contribution in cultural exchange, and welcomed more Vietnamese youth to pursue further education in NJU.

On November 26, Tan Tieniu led NJU delegation to Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Le Quan, President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, warmyly welcomed the delegation. He hoped that cooperation between the two universities would contribute to the realization of the social responsibility and global influence of both sides. Tan Tieniu believed that the two universities would cultivate more innovative talents and contribute to the construction of  a community of destiny between China and Vietnam.
