On November 28, renowned playwright, Pai Hsien-yung returned to Nanjing University.
Mr. Pai's connection with Nanjing University is both deep and enduring. Dating back to his first visity in 1987, he gave a lecture and exchanged with theatre experts Chen Baichen and Wu Baitao, which planted the seed for the youth edition of The Peony Pavilion. Over the years, his ties with the university have grown stronger, highlighted by the 2005 premiere of the youth edition of The Peony Pavilion in Nanjing, the establishment of the "Pai Hsien-yung Cultural Fund" in 2015, and continued collaboration in academic and cultural initiatives. Pai Hsien-yun's sixth visit to Nanjing University marks a significant milestone in Nanjing University's efforts and commitment to preserve and promote traditional Chinese culture.

From November 29 to December 1, The youth edition of The Peony Pavilion will be performing at the Lichi Theatre in Nanjing, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of its successful public performance. This series of activities are organized by Nanjing University and co-organized by Southeast University, Nanjing Foreign Language School and Langya Road Primary School.
