On October 8, Alexey Lubkov, Rector of Moscow Pedagogical State University(MPGU), visited Nanjing University. Tan Zhemin, President of Nanjing University and Academician of the CAS, met with Rector Alexey Lubkov and his delegation at NJU Xianlin campus.
On behalf of NJU, Tan welcomed Lubkov and his delegation. He emphasized that NJU highly values international cooperation, and that in recent years, NJU has been implementing a global engagement strategy. Recently, NJU has announced new initiatives to promote its internationalization, including various international visiting scholar programs and summer schools. He invited MPGU's faculty and students to participate in these programs. Tan also expressed his hope for further deepening cooperation and greater outcomes.
Lubkov shared an overview of MPGU's history and developments. He highlighted that MPGU has always been committed to promoting the development of higher education. In recent years, the university has been exploring innovative reforms to meet comtemporary challenges. He hoped that both sides can continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation.
Ding Aijun, Assistant President of Nanjing University , along with heads from relevant departments and colleges, also attended the meeting.
