On October 12, Tan Tieniu, Chair of the University CPC Council, and Academician of the CAS, led a delegation to China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) to discuss strengthening university-enterprise collaboration. Wang Dongjin, Chairman and Secretary of Party Leadership Group of CNOOC, attened and hosted the meeting.
During the meeting, Tan Tieniu expressed his gratitude for CNOOC's warm reception. He shared an overview of NJU's latest development, and expressed hopes for deeper cooperation between NJU and CNOOC in key areas to promote the integration of scientific research and industrial innovation.
Wang Dongjin welcomed the NJU delegation, and highlighted the long-standing collaboration between CNOOC and NJU in joint research and talent development. Wang also hoped the two sides would further advance cooperation and promote the integration of industry, academia, and research.
Zheng Hairong, Vice President of NJU, outlined the existing collaboration between the university and CNOOC. Lu Xiancai,Vice President of NJU, proposed various intiatives to enhance cooperative mechanisms.
That same day, Tan Tieniu delivered a special lecture to CNOOC's leadership on "Digital Transformation and Cutting-edge Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence."
The NJU delegation also visited the CNOOC Offshore Oil Industrial Exhibition Hall to learn about the company's development and achievements.
Attendees of the event included members of CNOOC’s leadership and Nanjing University representatives from various departments and schools.
