On August 24, Tan Tieniu, Secretary of the CPC NJU Committee and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited the Gulou campus to welcome the new undergraduate students of the Class of 2028 . He warmly greeted the new students and extended his regards to the faculty, staff, and volunteers.
Tan expressed his excitement about the arrival of the new class, highlighting NJU's commitment to providing the best undergraduate education in China. He talked to the new students, "Today marks the beginning of an important chapter in your lives. Nanjing University is committed to supporting you in every step of your journey, helping you to grow, explore, and achieve your fullest potential."
The two-day welcome event was designed to help students transition smoothly into university life. Upon arrival, students were greeted by enthusiastic volunteers, including faculty, staff, and current students, who assisted with check-ins, provided campus tours, and offered guidance on navigating their new environment.
