On December 15, Exhibition of selected works by Maurice Benayoun opens at NJU School of Arts on Gulou Campus. This is the first exhibition of new media artist and theorist Maurice Benayoun since he officially joined Nanjing University. He Chengzhou, Dean of the School of Arts, Zhao Kuiying, Deputy Dean of the School, Maurice Benayoun, Chen Jing, Associate Professor at the School and curator of the exhibition, Zhaoxing, Associate Researcher of the School participated the opening ceremony.

This exhibition selects the most representative works of Benayoun's in the past thirty years, and systematically introduces his creative achievements in the combination of artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, brain-computer interaction and other emerging technologies with art. The exhibition is highly relevant to the theme of our times when new media art is guiding human beings to explore the many possibilities of perceptual expression through various means and methods, and at the same time providing new tools and perspectives for understanding and responding to the rapidly changing modern society.

The exhibition will run until January13, 2025. The Art Gallery is open from 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m.
